Feryl

Feryl is a small creature in a glass terrarium on your desktop. It breathes on a 170-tick cycle — inhale, process, exhale, rest — and everything it does is timed to that breath. Where it  looks, when it moves, whether it cares about the rock or the fly or the glass or you. 

This isn't a mood variable on a timer. The breath is the architecture. The creature lives on its  rhythm the way you live on yours.
